With ref. to C#(.NET) 1. What do you mean by Managed code? 2. What's the difference between Managed code and Non managed code Examples will be really helpful.

Hi All code that uses the .NET framework and the clr is managed. C# code is managed (also the other .NET languages like vb.NET MC++ etc). Simon

It's very simple actually. Managed code is code that is managed by the Common Runtime. The difference is huge. Unmanaged code is raw native code that executes on one machine. Unmanaged code is code that is managed by the CLR. This gives you a lot of features unmanaged code doesn't has. Garbage Collection Type Safety Exeption Handling Etc. Hi 1. Managed code is code that will be executed by the .net clr (common language runtime). 2. Unmanaged code will be executed directly on the os level. The .net clr provides several benefits eg. CAS (code access security) etc. Simon
