What I should do to become a good programmer

Hi all I am a civil engineeer. Now I am working in software development wing in a structural detailing company. But now I am working with BIM (Building Information Modeling) and its not that much popular. I just want to change my career as a programmer. Is there is any scope for Non- Information Technology graduate in programming industry?. What courses I need to study to become a programmer (I am so much interested in C # and I have an intermediate level knowledge in C#) -Thank you.

Many programmers are self taught programmers who have built big products. If you have interest and time to learn programming like to solve problems build logic and again willing to put lot of time in reading and learning you can be a good programmer. Good luck!

If you don't have the Basics clear then you must watch the Venkat's Video tutorials and have the hands on experience on simple short programs.
