What is a global cache assembly

Hi.. Ques : What is a global cache assembly ? What are the steps to create an assembly and add it to the GAC?

hi The Global Assembly Cache (GAC) refers to the machine-wide code cache or we can say this is central place where you can put your assemblies to used in differnent project. Assemblies that could be used by more than one applications can be put in the global assembly cache. For example If I have created one assembly that log error this may be used in couple of project so this may put in GAC. hope this help.
