with task.delay you can make the program wait for that many milli secs then the next line of code is executed generally it is used to wait for some resource to be ready or if you are monitoring some resource - wait till next data arrived e.g. if I program a windows service to monitor a shared folder for any data file i can make it wait for let's say 5 minutes before it is executed again
