A DataView is typically used to sort or filter a DataTable without affecting the DataTable itself. The DataView can then bound to controls which display the results. The DataView is dynamic in that it automatically reflects any changes made to the DataTable. It's also possible to edit a DataView by adding updating or deleting rows which once committed do affect the DataTable.
