With error guessing, the tester uses his/her previous experience to guess what the most likely bugs will be for a particular type of application and then tests for those. As you'll gather, it's a highly subjective approach but it is a way of narrowing down formal testing (and hence the time taken) so that you only test for the most likely causes of failure.

Error guessing is a test case design technique where the tester has to guess what faults might occur and design the tests to represent them. Error guessing involves asking "what if". E.g.---> The statement might be made "the user must input a valid zip code". What if the user enters no zip code? What if the zip doesn't match the state? What if the zip code doesn't exist? Etc...

According to my knowledge error guessing is a technique to guess differnt errors(yet to discover) by navigating the application assuming from previous experience of simillar type of application.
