constant variables in other way named as static variables are declared at the class level in otherwords it can be instantiated without creating an object and all instances of that class will hold the same value. Instance variables are defined on the instance of the class thus each instance of the class will have its own value for ex: public class ClassA { public static int staticvar{ get; set; } public int instancevar{ get; set; } public void write() { Console.WriteLine(Class: {0} - Instance: {1} staticvar  instancevar ); } } --- classA.staticvar=3; classA objA = new objA(); objA.instancevar=5; classA objB=new ObjB(); objB.instancevar=7; objA.write() // writes 35 objB.write() //writes 37
