In the cryptography which one is the beat security option MD5 or SHA-1.what the difference between them?

Both are hashing algorithms but MD5 has a hash length of 16 bytes and SHA-1 has a hash length of 20 bytes. As Jitendra said this means that SHA-1 is more secure but it also means that it's slower to execute than MD5. However neither are particularly secure by modern standards and are only really suitable for detecting accidental corruption in a data stream not deliberate tampering. To detect the latter you really need SHA-256 or SHA-512 which have hash lengths of 256 and 512 bytes respectively but are considerably slower than MD5 or SHA-1.
