A static constructor is a constructor which is used to initialize the class as a whole as opposed to a specific instance of it. It takes no parameters or access modifiers and is called automatically by the system before any other static member is accessed or an instance constructor is called. A parameterized constructor is simply an instance constructor which takes one or more parameters. These parameters can be of any type. It is also possible for an instance constructor to take no parameters and if you don't provide a constructor for a class then the system provides a default parameterless constructor which does nothing except call the base class's parameterless constructor.
