Hi Darma as per definition on msdn  The RequiredAttribute attribute specifies that when a field on a form is validated the field must contain a value. A validation exception is raised if the property is null  contains an empty string () or contains only white-space characters. Hi Darma “using System.ComponentModel.DataAnnotations;” this namespace needs to be added to use [Required]. The required is used to check validations of the variable properties user can also provied custom error message using required. Eg: [Required(ErrorMessage=Email address Required.)] Hope this will help.
