Hi..... Oues:This is the Sql server based problem please explain What is the wildcard character in SQL? Let's say you want to query database with LIKE for all employees whose name starts with La.

As well as the two wildcards which Satyapriya mentioned there are two more: [] matches any single character within the specified range e.g. [a-f] [^] matches any single character not within the specified range e.g. [^a-f] These are similar to their usage in regular expressions.
