What is use of IEnumerable keyword?

Actually i've used many times this type of keyword but i never clearout in which case we can use this keyword in c#. My question is what is use of this? where we can use ?

1. When you want to use foreach on collection. The C# language foreach keyword works with all types that implement the IEnumerable interface. 2. It provides in memory collection means store data in the local memeory. 3. When you need forward only intertaion on the collection. Hope it's helpful.

IEnumerable is an interface which supports to iterate over a collection/list. It is present in System.Collections namespace. It contains one GetEnumerator() which returns IEnumerator that iterate through collection. IEnumerable int >result=fromvalue in Enumerable.Range(02) selectvalue; //Loop. foreach ( int value in result) { Console.WriteLine(value); } Uses: The only thing you want is to iterate over the elements in a collection. You only need read-only access to that collection. It supports only forward iteration no backward. IEnumerable is best to query data from in-memory collections like List Array etc.
