Where to put global variables?

Where can I store variables that I will need to access across all forms in my app?

Also we've been doing fine with our ASP.NET apps because we built a security login component that stored important info in session variables. Without those I'm a little lost.

Thanks. Basically we're attempting to rewrite our software using C# winforms. We need the ability to allow a user to login to the system. Associated with that login will be individual settings etc that I may need to get to at any part of the app. The app is going to be written by module but will grow quickly into an app of 20+ modules with multiple screens per module.

Static is the first word I'm thinking of.
