Which is the version of CSS used now in industry?

Hi,

Which version of CSS is used now.. I am learning HTML 5 and c# now as a beginner and want to read CSS. 

Should a asp.net developer have complete knowledge of web designing technologies like html5,css,xml,javascript,jquery?

Please guide.
