I am interested to work in operating system development it can be of mobile os or computer os . what should i have to learn pl tell .....totally confused

I am talking from my own experience 13 years back my teacher advised me to work on 'C' language & i invested a lot in C through TSR Graphics etc. But after passing out I did not get a job as the world outside was entirely different - they required Java & VB during the times. So i ended up with No-Job! :) So i prefer you choose a In-Demand Skills which best matches your passion. (you can first try any OS jobs are available if not found switch) Currently the trends are Android iPhone Windows Phone .Net etc. For your hobby work on operating system development at home :)
