why ajax call itself two times?

i have a ajax call on button submitwhenever i click on the button the ajax call occures two times but i want to call it only once.i am not getting this why this happened.Please give some idea.

Make sure you are triggering ajax on click and not on mousedown. Mouse downs get executed multiple times click happens only when click has initiated. Can you share the code where you initiate the request?
