Why can't add web reference?

Question

I want to add a web reference  but after I select an address  popup a window asking me either open or download . I have uninstalled IIs this morning  and reinstalled it later. what can I do ? thanks a lot .

first run the msdos. second convert to the directory: C:\WINNT\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.0.3705 then run : aspnet_regiis -i and wait a minute ok? ?msdos????? C:\WINNT\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.0.3705 ??aspnet_regiis -i ???

Oh sorry I get it you are trying to go to browse to the web service but the page isn't being served properly so you are getting the open/save/cancel dialog. Maybe try having a look in Google Groups  plenty of people would have had this problem before I know I have but I can't remember how I fixed it.
