Here are Some Reasons which describes why java is more secure programming language :- Why is Java Secure Language? 1) Own Memory Management The memory management mechanism is unique and is owned by Java. There is no need for manual intervention for garbage collection and everything is handled automatically. There is no need for a headache to free the memories. It drastically reduces the programmer overhead. Therefore the programmer’s hand must be free from memory management. Relieving the memory in Java is the job of JVM. Some of the arbitrary memory locations can be addressed with the help of pointers for doing read and write operations which are unauthorized. This does not serve the purpose of being secured. That is why users do not use the concept of pointers. 3) Access Specific Keywords There is another benefit for Java security and it is nothing but having an access specific keyword. If access to a method is what programmer wants to give to other functions then the public keyword must be used. If he/she wants to hide the information then private keywords must be used. Access security issues can be controlled by the programmer like the above-mentioned line. For avoiding data to be overridden the programs can use the final keyword. Define secure. There are many possible definitions of secure. Does secure refer to developers using Java that know what they are doing and that attempt to do something they are not supposed to do, or are you refering to developers using Java that do not know what they are doing and that make mistakes? Or are you refering to Java programs executing in an internet client browser sesssion? Are you then refering to programs executing in another browser window or are you refering to programs executing outside of the internet browser application? Or are you refering to Java programs executing in a stand-alone (console) window that is safe from other programs executing in other processes? Or are you refering to the protection of Java programs from other developers that want to copy what you have done in your programs?

Hi Abhishek, Java is considered more secure than other languages for several reasons: The Java compiler catches more compile-time errors; other languages (like C++) will compile programs that produce unpredictable results. Java does not allocate direct pointers to memory. This makes it impossible to accidentally reference memory that belongs to other programs or the kernel. My answer may differ Java's security model is focused on protecting users from programs downloaded from sources across a network. Java programs run in Java Runtime Environment. Java Programs can't take any action outside those boundaries. For example, Programms are prohibited from many activities, including: * Reading or writing to the local disk * Making a network connection to any host, except the host from which the applet came * Creating a new process * Loading a new dynamic library and directly calling a native method
