why use .net with c# for a small application web ? It purely depends on your choice. For web application development there are lot of technologies available like PHP Java Phython etc. ASP.Net is also among one of them. Also your application is small or big ASP.Net is a good choice. Also you can use VB.Net also instead of C#.Net in your web application if you want. This is the flexibility of .net. It supports more number of languages than other technologies.
