why should i use escaping characters in connection string

use of @ symbol in connection string ? if i d'dnt use @ symbol or \ in connection string what will happen

Hii; Escape Character is used because some of the character are rechonize by our Language compiler so to escape the character from the compiler we basically use this escape charater; more ever it's name defining the meaning of that. for eg:- we when we defining file path we use '/' character which gives you error so at the place of this we use '//'. Like wise every language has it's own escape characters. Hopes it clear about escape character.
