why the content inside the tag is not executing propery

the tag is considered as the text inside the div tag .and the tag and its contents is being displayed as it is without being executing the statement under tag and displaying the appropriate output.

Are you using MVC application or normal Webform? If you are using MVC then what type of view engine you are using either aspx or razor?

The customer id is if the Model.Id value is calculated to 12 suppose then it should display the output like The customer id is 12.but it is not calculating or implementing the code inside tag and taking it whole as a text and displays the output as The customer id is
