Why we can not create instance of static class

please tell me the reason in details that why static class instance creation is not possible. thanks

Hi Static classes do not contain any instance member properties or functions. So to make an instance would be pointless. Remember: You can define a class as static if you want to guarantee that it can't be instantiated can't derive from or serve as the base for another type and can contain only static members.
