I am learner of .net.Generally i know the what is postback and its's functionality but

why should we use the postback ? mostly where should use the postback and uses of

postback.I searched on google but i didn't get what i am want.please help me

First let's see what happens when you browse a web page of a site. When a user requests a page from browser request is sent to IIS in Web Server which will execute a set of http modules and handler. Then the requested page content is rendered as HTML on the browser. Postback is a property of the web page in ASP.NET to indicate whether page is being rendered for the first time or is being loaded in response to a postback. You could check the value by writing Page.IsPostBack or just IsPostBack. When the page is requested for first time this property returns false in the page load event and on successive requests returns true as value. For eg. when you click a button which has server-side event handler then the page is posted again and now on the page load this property will return true as value. In a typical scenario while building web applications using ASP.NET you could do the initialization work required for the aspx page. For eg. fetching the lookup data for dropdown controls fetching the page level data and binding to input controls etc. Hope this answer helps you.

There are two types technologies. 1. Server Side 2. Client Side For example ASP.Net Web Form and ASP. Net MVC are server-side technology. Angular JS and React JS are client side technology. Since ASP.Net web form is a server side technology we need to send the information(user key in) to the server for processing. The process of the sending the information to the server is called Postback. Hope I answered your question.
