Question

hi,

how to insert the date in ms access.date format like(dd/mm/yyyy).

by using this Format(#" + paydate + "#,'dd/MM/yyyy')

**tblFeePayment**
PaymentDate
07/10/2013
07/11/2013
07/12/2013
13/07/2013
14/07/2013
15/07/2013

but i need to insert all dates like dd/mm/yyyy.

Please help me.....

Judging by the error, I gather that paymentDate is in fact a string variable whereas we'd all been assuming it was a DateTime variable. If that's the case and the string is already in dd/MM/yyyy format, then all you need to put in the query for that field is: "#" + paymentDate + "#" However, if it's in MM/dd/yyyy format, you'll need to do something like this: DateTime dt = DateTime.ParseExact(paymentDate, "MM/dd/yyyy", null); and then use the following in the query: "#" + dt.ToString("dd/MM/yyyy") + "#"
