windows form opening problem

hi
any one help mee.
i am doing windows application.
when i open the form focus not showing on that form.
i opened form by using fallowing method
frm.show()
but this method need to act like frm.showdialog()
how to solve?

Did you try: Form1 frm1 = new Form1( ) ; frm1.Show( this ); That will make the current form the 'owner' of the form you're opening and should ensure that it's always on top of the current from and receives the focus when first shown. If it still doesn't work then which form does receive the input focus - another form in your application or a form in a different application that you have open at the same time?

hi i am not using MDI application. i tried that MDI form. its opening multiple forms. but focus is not setting on selected form.
