Windows Service stops itself?

Question

hi there i´m working on a windows service (Nt Service) and i wonder if it is possible that the service stops itself ? i regularly check uptime of servers and if it fails i want the service to stop (after doing some other operations). i know its possible to stop services via a serviceInstaller but i want to do it right from within the Service. any ideas? thanks jkersch

well if anyone´s interested now i found out how a service can stop itself on events. ServiceController control = new ServiceController(Name_your_service_is_registered_to); control.Stop();
