Windows services in C# .net

Question

hi friends i created one folder in my local drive like D:\Process. i saved xml files in this folder. using window services i can take newly created xml files from the folder[D:\Process] for every two seconds and store that file in sqlserver database .......please help me.............

I assume that what you want to do is to load data from XML elements into corresponding fields in a table or some tables. So in ohter words the XML might have Field1 Field2 and Field3 and you want to put Field1 Field2 and Field3 into fields in a database table. Is that what you need? If so then your question is actually many questions. You need to use a timer in a service. You need to be able to read the XML and parse it into the fields. You neeed to write that data to SQL Server. You might be able to make SQL Server get the data from the XML and put it into the table but I don't know how to do that. I think it is better if you do those things separately. So you need to look in the C# Corner's (this web site's) articles about how to do each one and then ask specific questions when you need help.

thanks ....it is good answer for my question...but i want to use stored procedure to store the xml file information into database ......here my question is i am getting error to work with stored procedure...................

just use foll querry. create column with datatype xml (for eg:say xmlFileName) use foll querry to store xml file into database insert into tblName select * from openrowset(bulk 'D:\process\urxmlfile.xml'single_clob) as xmlFileName
