Ah if you're writing this for the MS-DOS operating system then the article is not applicable as it applies to writing Windows services in Windows NT or later. For MS-DOS you need to write a 'terminate and stay resident' program or TSR. thanks for your answer But I use the C compiler V3 in Dos OSand I haven't the Windows.h file. can you tell me that Which version should I use to compile this code? Thanks again

The code for the article is in fact written in C not C++. Have another look :)
