Show Map Inside Power View in Excel 2013

There is a special feature in Excel 2013 for inserting maps into our Power View report. By doing this we can analyze the data in terms of the map. If we have a set of data and we want to analyze the data through the map in Excel 2013 then we must follow various of steps.

Let's have a look at the following steps.

Step 1

First go to Excel 2013.

Step 2

Now select the blank workbook template from the available templates.

Now enter some data like this:

Now select the insert menu option.

Now under it just select the Power View option like this:

A Power View window will appear like this:

In it just deselect all the fields from the Power View Fields task pane and leave the state checkbox checked.

Now click on the Map option under the design menu option.

Step 9

A map will be inserted like this which will show all the states in the country of Australia:

Now while selecting this map just drag and drop Education from the Power View Fields task pane into the COLOR Option like this:

The map will appear like this:

Now drag and drop the Education Power View Field into the Horizontal Multiples Text Field like this:

The map will appear like this:

Now drag and drop the Number of sites visit Power View Field into the Size Text Field like this:

Now the map will look like this:

If we will click on a particular spot on the map then it will show the information like this:

Thus in this way we can analyze the data through the map in the Power View in Excel 2013.
