Anybody have used the new GMAIL API in asp.net???

Hi there,    have a pleasant day. hope all are fine. Here a latest arrival is GMAIL API. By reading a article in google, it says it is much n much better than IMAP.  I have some knowledge in imap and pop. Anybody have used the new GMAIL API in asp.net web application ? If yes, how to correctly configure (Because by reading google developer forum about gmail api, i am unable to fully understand the topic in practical),  and how is the experience. Share your valuable comments. I am waiting.... This will be very helpful for developing developers like me .................
