Generating Video clips from a running Video

I am working with mediaelement.I want to generate Video clips from any video at runtime that I can populate my thumbnail accordingly.Can Any one help me. Thanks in advance

there are solutions for thumbnail clipping on my blog at blog.skullwareinc.com I went through a series on this type of work. I left the tutorials limited so not to add to competition by giving away code. Basically you use ffmpeg to grab an image a predefined time into the clip usually not the first frame
