How to use gridview in modelpopup

Hi I am using gridview in modelpopup. It's working fine but gridview rowCommand is not working. please tell me any solution

throw this error System.Web.UI.UpdatePanelTriggerCollection must have items of type 'System.Web.UI.UpdatePanelTrigger'. 'PostBackTrigger' is of type 'System.Web.UI.HtmlControls.HtmlGenericControl'.

in update panel use triggers the syntax is as below PostBackTrigger ControlID=gridviewID />
