What is the best database to use?

I need to develop an inventory system(Windows application). This IV System will be installed on the server without sql server database . I need to know what database(huge data) I can choose. I also need to know how I can transfer the daily changes made to the database to an SQL serverdatabase.

I have different sites(locations) which works off line and daily updations need to b made once in a day. the server would b in a different location. The local sites do not have sqlserver database installed. How can I handle such situations?

Make it on MSSQL you just need to make 1 system as a server and connect with local lan and pass the ip address of server in configuration file from this you do not have to transfer the daily changes made to the database
