Expotring excel to HTML Format ?

Question

Hii
i have a problem displaying an excel file with the same format as it is on microsoft excel..(Merged Cells,Backcolors,etc...)
First i read the file and return the results on a data table...but it doesn't hold the same format as it is on excel is there a way to display it in HTML format without using the excel library as it will be on a website so the user doesn't have to have an installed version of microsoft office????
any help would be great

I would not expect the schema to have anything useful for what you are asking about here.

i get the schema of the table i am reading but it didn't help using this : ExcelSchema = ExcelConnection.GetOleDbSchemaTable( OleDbSchemaGuid .Tables null );

Either the data includes the data necessary to determine the styles to use or it does not. If it does not then you must get the style data from the spreadsheet somehow.

Thank you alll for your answers but i think i didn't explain what i really need to figure out in a proper way as what i need is to render my excel file on the page not to save the file again.. scenario: i have an excel file which i read using oledbcommand and an OleDbDataAdapter ...now all i need is to make the data in this excel file to be displayed on my page with the same styles as it is on the original excel file...(merged cellsBackcolorsetc..) i hope i explained it right this time thank you again any ideas?????

Microsoft provides a program for viewing Excel files for free. It is not capable of making any changes to the file and it is not a complete copy of Office; it is just a viewer for just Excel files.
